# Using Composer

Everything you do in Composer, while it is your work, is done on behalf of one Group, what we call the Global Group. To be working in Composer at all, you will already be a Group Admin of the Global Group.

You can, of course, be an Admin of more than one Group, and Composer will let you switch between them anytime.

But anything you do in Pod 2 (Compose) and Pod 3 (Group Knowledge) is related to only one Group at a time, that is, the current Global Group as shown at the top center of the screen.

  1. You are composing individual compositions (processes) to be owned by, and eventually used in Performer by yourself and other Group Admins of the current Global Group. You do this is Pod 2 (Compose).

  2. You are collecting, organizing, and creating know-how for the current Global Group. This is your Group's institutional knowledge. You do this in Pod 3 (Group Knowledge).

You can select from Pod 1 (Group Compositions) an existing Composition, and this will both load the Composition in Pod 2, and make its Owner Group the Global Group,

or

You can switch the current Global Group by clicking on the link at the top center of the interface.
